Luke Golds – Head of Cloud Operations

Luke started at Umbrellar Technology Group as a senior cloud engineer, but nearly three years later, he’s leading the team - a transition that even surprised him. Now, he ensures  UTG’s cloud infrastructure runs like clockwork, delivering high-performance, optimized environments for clients.

How would he explain his job to a 10-year-old? "I help make the servers that run Fortnite work." (Instant credibility.)

Cloud myths drive him nuts, especially the idea that once you move to the cloud, it’s set-and-forget. “Your infrastructure still needs maintenance - think of it like a high-performance engine that needs regular tuning.”

His must-have tech gadget? A Logitech MX Mouse - because carpal tunnel is real.

Beyond IT, Luke is a beginner powerlifter, a dedicated dad, and a music lover. He also has an ongoing love/hate relationship with keeping up with video games.

His best IT advice? "There is always a reason to the madness - you just have to dig deeper to find it."
